Drivers Direct ‘gears up’ for the summer sporting events.
A specialist driver recruitment agency has been ‘gearing up’ for the up and coming sporting events ensuring our service helps customers hit their high volume demands.
Divers Direct, one of the UK leading providers of drivers and driver training, are ensuring that its large retail and road haulier customers will be able to meet their requirements at what could be the busiest summer for some time.
Drivers Direct are working closely with transport managers to make sure the high demands are met throughout the summer months, by becoming involved with forecasts, planning and peak involvement.
Tom Mutton, Drivers Direct Regional Director, said “Drivers Direct thrive on ensuring our customers receive the highest quality service, whatever it takes. This time of year traditionally is a peak in business, however having been working closely with our customers, forecasts are increasingly high, so my branches have had their foot on the throttle with a recruitment drive.
Fortunately our experience and ability to cope under pressure will help minimise the impact for our customers. All our consultants, staff and drivers have gone the extra mile in the last couple of weeks to ensuring smooth operations for our customers. I’m glad to say that not only are we able to cope well under pressure, but we are also helping our customers with the increased demand being placed on them as a result of the up and coming sport events.”
Drivers Direct was set up in 2002 by four partners. Today, it is owned by three partners and run by Gethin Roberts, managing director and his management team, all of whom have backgrounds in both Recruitment and Distribution. The company specialises in the recruitment and placement of temporary and permanent drivers of all classes. Drivers Direct prides itself on the ability to work closely with clients and applicants to ensure that a quality service is provided overall. Drivers Direct employs 45 staff and has branches in Runcorn, Feltham, Sutton, Preston, Eastleigh, Crewe, Derby, Leeds, Wolverhampton and franchises in Northampton, Nuneaton, Leicester, Ashford, Manchester, Cardiff and Romford. The company’s core business is driver recruitment and it has always tried to employ people who know about transport rather than just recruitment. Almost all of its consultants come from a transport, rather than recruitment background.
